Job Description
Reporting into the Associate Vice President, Client Education, you will lead a team of talented Client Education Instructors and shape our live educational experience for DIY investors that includes Master Classes, Private Classes and Shows/Webinars.
- Responsible for the line-up of classes, ensuring that they deliver on learning outcomes, build increasing levels of engagement, and cover the topics most relevant to a broad range of clients (e.g. new investors, long-term investors, and active traders)
- Continuously build the level of subject matter expertise of the instructor team to be thought leaders for their assigned topics supporting the development of live class curriculums (ongoing enhancements and creation of new classes) and collaborating with writers for video content
- Lead and coach the team on ways to improve the overall client experience, support personal development, and achieving their performance objectives
- Being a forward thinker staying on top of industry best practices/trends to proactively identify and execute on opportunities to elevate the education offering
- We are a dynamic team that works in an agile work environment. Strong collaboration, relationship management and communication with partners (i.e., content strategy, creative team, product owners, control partners, marketing, vendors) is essential to be successful.
- Manage and influence vendors to provide a high standard of BAU services, quickly address issues, and seamlessly integrate new capabilities into our offering
- Establish, implement, and monitor team controls and procedures to ensure the highest level of quality and that risk is appropriately managed
- As a DI Education leader, set the standard for hosting engaging and informative content when needed
- Conduct CIRO reviews and provide final approvals on business content across the DI streams to adhere to regulatory standards and internal legal, risk and compliance controls.
- As a member of the Education Operating Committee, provide active leadership to content strategy and reviews to ensure that the team consistently upholds a high-quality standard.
- Lead internal initiatives aimed at improving our overall offering, taking them through ideation/ business casing through to successful execution.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for:
- Being an inspirational spokesperson to champion the program across the enterprise
- Ensuring TD Brand standards and all compliance, legal, brand and other regulatory guidelines are adhered with all content created
- Be comfortable working with executives on special creative projects that will promote key messages and business strategy vision
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding and experience with investing and trading, financial markets and TD Direct Investing products
- CSC, CPH, and CIRO Supervisor registration would be required. DFOL and Options Supervisory Course would be desired
- Deep knowledge and high proficiency in investing and trading topics (e.g. trading & investing strategies, options/equities/fixed income, technical/fundamental analysis, etc.)
- Having at least 2 years of people leadership experience
- Experience related to adult education/learning would be a strong asset
- Candidate must be highly resourceful, organized and proactive problem solver who works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a quick learner and a self-starter who can take ownership of problems and quickly identify solutions
- Create and foster a cohesive team and promote a positive work environment
- Strong ability to influence and share the value proposition of education with executives and key distribution partners
- Possess a strong awareness of the communities we support and commitment to leading a diverse, equitable and inclusive team environment
- Candidate must be a critical thinker and can provide sound judgement on complex matters
- Having a good understanding of digital content marketing and social media distribution strategies would be beneficial
- Experience with online live webcasting technologies (e.g. ON24, WebEx, Adobe Connect) is a nice to have
