Position Summary 

Microserve is looking for a Managed Print Support Specialist to join our growing team.  Reporting directly to the Manager of Print Services, the Managed Print Support Specialist will work with Microserve's Administrative, Service Management and Technical teams to remotely deliver services that are unique to a Managed Print Environment.  The ideal candidate should be able to implement new ideas and solutions successfully to improve the performance of our existing team and provide best in class support to our customers. This position can be done remotely anywhere in Western Canada. 

Responsibilities 

  • Supports Microserve's Manage Print clients with Supplies Management inquiries and changes 

  • Coordinates proactive maintenance processes, including Long Life Consumable (LLC) 

  • installation, proactive cleaning, and technical alert responses 

  • Coordinates Install, Move, Add or Change (lMAC) requests, as required 

  • Remotely analyzes and troubleshoots, printer hardware and related peripherals, using tools like Web JetAdmin, PrintFleet, FMAudit and/or printer Embedded Web Servers 

  • Supports field technicians with technical questions, service advisories or remote work 

  • Co-ordinates with and updates HP Account Manager, on device status and large-scale fleet     Issues and escalations 

  • Documents, maintains and updates printer configuration data 

  • Remotely trains and consults end users on printers and consumables, as required 

  • Ensure timely updates are entered into the service management tool 

 

Position Requirements  

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an IT Service environment, supporting print devices (Service Desk, General IT Support is acceptable) A customer- centric attitude and a desire to develop processes with the customer in mind  

  • Excellent written, verbal and service management tool communication kills  

  • Knowledge of IT manufacturers service advisory/order management/parts ordering processes preferred 

  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check 

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50+ lbs. on a regular basis. 

  • Must have High School Diploma / GED  

  • Must have a valid (full) driver’s license (the license may not include restrictions) and a satisfactory driving record
