Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Junior Accountant or Book Keeper to join our growing team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in our financial department, supporting the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They will also perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.


Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Perform monthly analysis and reconciliations of all general ledger accounts.
Prepare and manage invoicing for clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Oversee cash management procedures including cash receipts, cash disbursements, banking, protection against fraud, and overseeing cash flow forecasting.
Assist in the development of annual budget and forecasts, monitor progress against these plans, and provide updates to management.
Ensure compliance with state revenue service, federal, and local requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system for easy access to financial records.


A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is required.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks.
Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes.
Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and use time effectively and efficiently.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are required.
Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
