Overview

Do you have a solid understanding of marketing communication principles and various engagement channels? Do you have experience planning and executing targeted, end-to-end internal and external campaigns? Our Experience, Marketing & Insights department has an exciting opportunity for a coordinator to join their team. As an Marketing & Engagement Coordinator, you'll collaborate with internal departments and teams to implement organizational marketing communication initiatives. Your thorough knowledge of strategic marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement will accelerate your growth in this role.

This is a temporary role for 18 months.

Where you'll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.

What you'll do
  • Assist internal clients in clarifying their objectives and translate them into a well-defined set of actionable deliverables
  • Research, write, edit, and proofread for a range of mediums and channels such as publications, email, print and digital advertisements, brochures, web pages, and more
  • Coordinate the production of materials such as media plans and media buys, to effectively deliver marketing campaigns to the identified target audiences within the prescribed corporate style and standards, including space requirements and specifications determined by the media
  • Support the development, project management and implementation of marketing communications initiatives across the organization to produce timely, strategic and effective materials that promote positive stakeholder experiences
  • Coordinate with external service providers and contractors to ensure production of materials, campaigns, and other initiatives are on time and within the acquired budget, aligned with client needs and WorkSafeBC Experience
  • Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.

Is this a good fit for you?

We're looking for people who can:
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of processes involved in campaign development from planning to creative concept development, media planning, copywriting, graphic design, production, and printing
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing with a diverse set of internal and external clients to provide clear and concise communications and recommendations
  • Prioritize and complete several concurrent assigned tasks to meet changing deadlines, priorities, and requirements, working independently and in a team environment
  • Build and maintain relationships with departmental advisors, business leads, SMEs, editors and designers
  • Display tact, diplomacy and a dedication to delivering high quality service with a fine attention to detail at all times

Your background and experience
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
  • A minimum of three years of related experience in corporate communications, marketing, and campaign development
  • Working knowledge of marketing communication principles, campaign development and planning, brand guidelines, print and online communication channels
  • Experience in recruitment marketing and communications is considered an asset

Our benefits

As a member of our team, you'll have access to services and benefits that help you get the most out of work - and life. Along with a competitive salary, your total compensation package includes an extra 4% of your salary in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation from the day you start

Once you've worked for 1820 hours (approximately 12 months), you'll switch to getting:
  • 3 weeks of vacation with regular increases based on years of service
  • Extensive health care and dental benefits
  • Sick leave and long-term disability coverage

Salary: $35.82/hourly
