About This Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to be a key player in TD's Emerging Technology Lab- the engine that drives our evaluation, testing, and adoption of latest security solutions. In this role, you will combine deep technical skills with a curious, experimental mindset to design, build, and operate secure lab environments where new ideas become reality.
You will lead vendor engagements, proof-of-concept initiatives, integrate new tools into our security ecosystem, and benchmark technologies against real-world scenarios before enterprise deployment.
Job Requirements
Preferred Technical Skills:
Experience in infrastructure automation or Infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and management of a hybrid cloud infrastructure (Morpheus, Terraform, Ansible or similar) Familiarity with API-based integrations for security products. Knowledge of endpoint protection, data protection, network security, identity and access management tools and principles. Hands-on experience working with security products Sound knowledge with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, GCP) Experience working with HP Simplivity is a bonus

About This Role

You will lead vendor engagements, proof-of-concept initiatives, integrate new tools into our security ecosystem, and benchmark technologies against real-world scenarios before enterprise deployment.
Job Requirements
- Evaluate and onboard emerging security technologies through vendor showcases, proof-of-concept testing, and technical scoring.
- Build integrations between new security tools and existing platforms, leveraging APIs, orchestration frameworks, and automation pipelines.
- Design and operate an environment where business units and security teams can test, evaluate, and validate new products securely.
- Work closely with architecture, threat intel, SOC, and risk teams to align emerging tech adoption with enterprise security strategy.
- Develop success criteria and benchmarks for evaluating scalability, security, and performance of new technologies before enterprise rollout.
- Manage the lifecycle of the security lab IT Infrastructure, user environments and security technologies
- Monitor the health of the security lab systems to meet defined service level objectives
- Implement security controls to protect the lab, and simulate a desired security stack for testing and validation
- Work with internal customers to translate use cases and business requirements into technical requirements for implementation of new environments
- Create technical and user documentation to enable knowledge sharing among the team as well as the user community
What can you bring to TD?
Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have: - University or Post-Graduate Degree.
- Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering).
- 7-10 years relevant experience.
- Strong system administration experience with both Windows and Unix operating systems
- Strong hands-on experience with VMWare environments, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP and firewalls
- Strong knowledge of common network protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP etc.
- Knowledge of connectivity and networking, including configuration of routers and switches
- Experience with scripting languages including Shell, PowerShell or Python
