The Opportunity
As a member of our Instrumentation & Data Solutions team, you'll be at the heart of oceanographic and terrestrial data acquisition programs that support research, infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives. Your role will combine hands-on field operations-deploying, maintaining, and calibrating advanced monitoring systems-with office-based tasks like system checks and remote troubleshooting. Every step you take will prioritize health, safety, and environmental excellence, ensuring reliable data that informs critical decisions and protects ecosystems.

Your Impact
  • Deploy, maintain, and calibrate oceanographic and terrestrial monitoring equipment to ensure accurate, reliable data.
  • Troubleshoot and integrate customized monitoring systems that support environmental and infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct daily operational checks and remote diagnostics to keep systems performing at peak efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to uphold rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards across all field operations.
  • Contribute technical writing for proposals and project documentation that drives innovation and client confidence.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering Technology or relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs), wave buoys, mooring construction, and Campbell Scientific dataloggers is a strong asset.
  • Comfortable working in remote environments, traveling by vessel, fixed-wing, or rotary aircraft, and meeting all safety and compliance requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to two weeks at a time on short notice and work extended hours when required.
  • Skilled in equipment maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management software.

Compensation:
  • BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $57,500 - $76,200
  • MB & ON: $52,500 - $72,300
  • Atlantic Provinces & QC: $52,000 - $69,000
