Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Money In Solution Finance this position is responsible for the production of monthly management reporting and analysis as well as the consolidation of the Annual Plan and quarterly Forecasts. The individual will work collaboratively with Finance manager of both Every Day Banking, and Personal Saving and Investing finance and support the consolidating of business unit data, extracting key business drivers to support the analysis and commentary of overall results in a clear, concise manner that will support the decision-making process.

The key accountabilities include:
  • Manage the preparation of Flash, MOR, and other ad hoc requests as required, with a focus on ensuring clear, concise value-add analysis by reviewing for reasonableness, identifying/extracting key business drivers and framing in an overall story.
  • Act as key contact for Personal banking team as it relates to coordination of monthly, forecast and planning activities
  • Review and/or prepare as appropriate any ad hoc analysis required to support interpretation and understanding of results.
  • Manage relationships with all business partners, Finance partners and other partners as required, responding to all queries as appropriate or coordinating the relevant actions required.
  • Continuously improve finance processes, and reporting capabilities to facilitate quick and nimble responses to new requirements and requests from within Finance, Business Units, senior management or the Bank
  • Ensure proper controls are in place to maintain the utmost data integrity of MIS financial results, ensuring consistency with business unit reporting by fully understanding data flow, finance systems and leveraging enterprise wide reporting tools
  • Understand financial drivers for business activities, identify key business performance metrics for the business and ensure benchmark / industry / best practice information is shared with appropriate stakeholders
  • Support team member's development and delegate as needed to meet this objective.

Job Requirements
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen
  • Charismatic and positive nature with the ability to build strong business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to select, interpret and present financial results with simplistic impactful messages, with minimal wording and complication
  • Completion of University degree in Finance or Accounting, complemented by a recognized professional designation (CPA)
  • Detail oriented with expertise in documenting processes and working templates
  • A minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position involving both reporting and analysis in a large, highly-matrixed organization
  • Technically savvy with a diverse exposure to enterprise software, reporting systems and custom report building
  • Expert-level understanding of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Hyperion with the ability to build working templates and reports that utilize advanced functions to automate data compilation and reporting functions while maintaining strong controls and data integrity
  • Team player who is comfortable in a fast-paced work environment with an evolving mandate and can work well under pressure
  • Exceptional ability to problem solve with ambiguous data / minimal direction
  • Understanding of Money In solutions products and operations would be an asset
  • Ability to coach and provide guidance to other team members.
  • Adaptable to a continuous changing environment.
